KYUSHO-JITSU-DIMAK Chapter Two Science or Science Fiction? Kyusho-Dimak is based on the ancient art of acupuncture.There is a theory in accupuncture called the five element theory-each meridian is assigned one of five elements;fire,metal,wood,earth and water.This this five element theory describes the interralationships of the meridians according to the cycle of destruction or the cycle of creation. The cycle of destruction states that fire melts metal;metal cuts wood;wood destroys the earthearth destroys water and water destroys fire-This cycle of of destruction can determine the sequence of the points attack. However modern neuroscience provides another theory.when a nerve senses pain-it sends a signal to the spinal cord then to the brain. Dimmak also involves theories based on the cioncept of ying and yang-everything in the universe has an opposite.Yang meridians are related to solid organs with a positive energy while ying meridians are related to hollow organs and have a negative energy. Strinking different pressure points on the body simultaneously can have a drastic affect on the nervous system and an aggressors ability to continue to attack you. My opion is that the effects of Kyusho-Dimmak are based on physiology and can be explained by modern medical science as an alternative explanation.
